One of the key elements of smartphones is the battery, which allows us to enjoy our terminal, along with its many tools and possibilities. That is why it is so important to know the parts of the hardware and software that cause us not to have the desired autonomy.

Manufacturers of Android phones are aware of the importance of knowing this section in depth and that is why they increasingly give us more information about the use of mobile phones and the battery. For several generations, information has been evolving, allowing us to discover in a few simple steps with any terminal what causes us not to reach the end of the day with autonomy.

Steps to see how much the mobile battery uses up

In order to find out what is draining the battery of our smartphone, we have to follow the steps that we are going to show you. A process that changes with each smartphone, depending on the brand, model and above all on the personalization layer that we have. All this together with information that has its peculiarities in each case.

From Android 9 we have a specific section in the operating system that offers us relevant information on the use of the battery, which has been changing to improve with each generation. A section that offers us the specific information of some details, to get to know completely what it is that consumes the battery of the mobile and causes the results that we obtain from hours of screen or use.

In the system settings we will have to locate the section called Battery, a specific menu that as soon as we enter shows us all the details that we want to know. We first come across a graph that shows the battery drop or rise when we charge the smartphone. Just below we see the use of the applications during the last 24 hours.

All this detailed and ordered by a percentage of consumption, in addition to specifying the time that our smartphone has been consuming energy both in the foreground and in the background. To have a better control of the battery, we can touch on each of these apps and choose if we want to restrict the use in the background. This will leave us with more time of use, but without notifications or if we prefer, on the contrary, not to do so, which could cause a more prominent consumption.

On MIUI mobiles, the power consumption appears as soon as you access the battery section. In this case we also have all the information that we saw in the Android version. What we have to do does not change at all, entering Settings> Battery. From here we will see the consumption graph and below the information that interests us, with a detailed percentage of the consumption.

In this case MIUI also offers us the approximate number of mAh that each element has consumed. Showing us sections of hardware and software, to know if what is now the battery is the screen, a reason that could be based on the Hz configuration or it is a software element. However, by clicking on each of them we will only be able to stop it and there are no options to optimize the battery.

The EMUI developers have wanted to distance themselves and distinguish themselves from the rest of the manufacturers and in this case, it offers us to know the consumptions in a way that no other uses. Separate hardware and software in detail to know at all times which category is to blame for not having reached the end of the day. A function that is operational in the latest versions of EMUI.

To know all the details about the battery we have to enter the settings and click on battery. Within it, many options will appear, although if we slide, we will find the graph and details that we need. Moment in which we will see the consumptions, accessing all the information once the software or hardware is deployed.

In this case, we can touch on each of the apps, to modify the terminal startup settings, with an automatic start, secondary start or even limiting the execution in the background that could cause failures if we use it in essential aspects of the system.

The One UI customization layer is somewhat peculiar when it comes to showing us the details about battery consumption. In this case we have to follow a series of steps greater than those we saw previously, although as you will see they are not complex, we just have to know them. What we will have to do is start by accessing the settings, then clicking on maintenance and battery.

Once inside, we have to click on the section called battery, which may surprise you when you only find the consumption graph. However, if we repeatedly click on the graph, we will see the rest of the details about the software that cause the battery of our Samsung to look resentful.

What if this information does not appear?

Whether our smartphone is older or if the customization layer does not offer these details, we still have at our disposal an option to know at least the usage time in the foreground of each of the software elements that have drained the battery. It is not the most accurate tool, but it can give us a rough idea.

In this case, we resort to the alternative Digital Wellbeing, which is within Settings> Digital Wellbeing and Parental Controls. Where if we touch the information wheel, we will see the time we have spent using each of the applications. Limiting the use of the apps in the foreground and in the second, since we have a daily use timer that resets every night.
