Samsung presents the Galaxy A9, its most ambitious mid-range with four rear lenses

Where three fit … can four fit?

Samsung today officially announced the new iteration in its mid-range line. In a special event that already knew focused on the Galaxy segment, the South Korean company has confirmed the arrival of what is one of the most striking terminals of the moment by the four lenses that it incorporates in its rear camera. It is the first smartphone to adopt this photographic configuration, calling especially the attention that does not make an appearance in the first place to the high-end terminals of the firm.

As there is no better way today to differentiate itself from the competition than to offer an excellent camera, Samsung incorporates four lenses in the A9: an 8 MP wide-angle and f / 2.4 aperture, a 10 MP f / 2.4 telephoto with zoom double increase without loss of quality, a main chamber of 24 MP f / 1.7 and a last one intended to measure the depth of 5 MP f / 2.2 . Do not forget either the front camera, which has 24 MP and aperture f / 2.0. A total configuration, in short, that is intended to delight the passionate of photography at a price more contained than we usually see in the flagships of major brands.

Pillars of the Galaxy

The Galaxy A9, despite focusing clearly on the camera, does not leave aside other relevant aspects for the user and that are grateful, such as the back of curved glass, the possibility of expanding internal storage by microSD card or a 6.3-inch AMOLED large screen. The phone also has the Snapdragon 660 processor , 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB capacity. The battery, which has a fast charge, rises to 3,720 mAh, which should be enough to keep the day off.

However, all these details that make it – at least on paper – in a very competent phone come in exchange for a price that, while it can not be compared with the Galaxy S9 or the Galaxy Note 9, certainly moves it away of the options that we are seeing from other companies in this segment. The Galaxy A9 will be sold starting next November for $700 in three colors (Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink) that, in the absence of seeing the operation of the cameras, places it in a position where it will be difficult to Samsung compete against other terminals that are more or less even in the rest of specifications.
