The great family of Samsung Galaxy M devices continues to grow, in this case with a renewal of one of its most popular terminals. After the good reception that the Galaxy M21 had in 2020, it is time to know everything about its worthy successor. Model that arrives equipped with some changes that make it continue to improve the possibilities.
Not everyone wants or needs a high-end, but a high-quality screen and that is where Samsung returns to focus its main advantages. Nor does it overlook other sections such as software, memory that will allow us to get a lot out of its cameras or the battery. We go on to know everything that has changed and improved in this new smartphone.
Everything the Samsung Galaxy M22 gives us
As we have already mentioned, on the screen we have a particularly prominent point to think about this model and that is that its panel with Amoled technology far exceeds the expectations of many. It has 6.4 inches ready to make us enjoy its panel, along with an HD + resolution and a significant refresh rate of 90 Hz, one of the great changes with respect to the previous model.
In terms of design, the smartphone follows some very identifying lines of Samsung in this series, opting for a textured plastic material that allows to lighten the weight up to 860 grams. The quad camera module is located in one of the rear corners and as usual in these inexpensive models, the fingerprint reader is on the side, next to the unlock button.
Its processor is the Helio G80, an old acquaintance that we have seen demonstrated on several smartphones that it can move any app without problem. Its 2 GHz comes accompanied by a single option with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, ready to give the best of itself. All this together with version number 11 of Android and One UI 3.1.
In the cameras we have a quadruple or classic lens configuration composed of a 48 Mpx lens, an 8 Mpx wide angle with a 123-degree angle of view, a 2 Mpx depth sensor and a 2 Mpx macro lens. In front, the selfie camera is 13 Mpx and is integrated into the screen as we have seen so many times, with a U-shaped notch.
Finally, but not least we come to the battery, where we have nothing more and nothing less than 5,000 mAh that promise to reach the end of the day without problems, with a fast charge of 22 W that will give us the extra energy needed at a higher speed. In connectivity we only miss the 5G, since we have Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, dual SIM and a 3.5 mm jack connector.
