This will help your Samsung to rest and sleep better

Sleeping well and without anyone interfering while we rest is one of the most important things we always want. Therefore, within the different characteristics and functionalities of mobile devices, we find one that has been integrated and improved over the last few years. As is the case with the Digital Wellbeing mode found in Samsung smartphones and its specific function so that we can sleep without being disturbed by anyone.

This famous wellness functionality can be found in just about every brand, but the South Korean mobile manufacturer has designed a good shape to better suit the needs of each user. So, we are facing a different tool with which our phone will not bother us when we need to disconnect from the world at bedtime. In addition, it has strengthened this tool with an improvement in its clock, since there are many people who use it daily to set their alarms as an alarm clock.

Goodbye to relaxation mode on your mobile?

It is not a final goodbye to this tool, as it will continue to be present in all the company’s smartphones that have a version lower than One UI 3.0 and Android 10. This tool known as Relaxation mode helps us to rest at night, or when we go to sleep.

Therefore, if your smartphone from the Asian brand does not have these latest updates, we will explain how you can benefit from Relaxation mode whenever you want. In addition, in case you did not know, it is responsible for making a series of adjustments so that we can get a peaceful sleep, and they are the following:

  • Do not disturb: puts the mode in silence and does not allow any call or message to wake us up.
  • Grayscale: removes the colors from the screen and makes the blue light on the screen not affect our sleep.

It will even leave us the alternative of whether or not we want to have the Grayscale function and the Do not disturb function, if not, we will teach you how to deactivate it. The first thing we will have to do to be able to sleep better thanks to our Samsung will then be to use this mode of the Samsung. To do this, we will have to follow the following steps:

  1. Access your mobile phone settings.
  2. Enter the Digital Wellbeing section.
  3. Within this menu, slide the screen to the bottom and click on Relaxation.

Once we have reached this point, it will be the moment of truth. Well, we will have the option to Activate according to the program, by clicking on the switch that appears next to its name. In this way, we can define the hours and days in which to use this functionality if we click on Define program. Once we have configured it to our needs, we will only have to click on Accept to save this setting. Within the Relaxation menu, we can also remove the Grayscale and Do not disturb functions that we mentioned earlier by clicking on the switch that appears next to their respective names.

The new bedtime of the Samsung

In the event that you have a Samsung mobile with a version higher than One UI 3.0 and Android 10, you will no longer have the previous functionality available. But, don’t worry, because the manufacturer has not forgotten to include this tool feature, but has improved it and changed its place to make it much more intuitive for each and every user.

Previously, this tool to be able to sleep better at night, or at any time of the day, was within the Digital Wellbeing. However, from those versions that we have mentioned, Samsung decided to change its place to the app of the clock of its smartphones and also called this tool as Bedtime mode. Although, it can also be activated using a second, less intuitive way.

The first will be opening the clock application of this manufacturer’s mobiles. Basically, it will be available as soon as we establish a new alarm, since we will have the alternative of being able to use this option called Set bedtime. This tool, as we said, allows us not only to control that nothing or nobody bothers us by calling us or sending us a message, but it also lets us keep a record of our sleep.

To do this, we will have to establish the hours in which you normally go to bed and in which you wake up every day, more or less similar to the Relaxation function. Thanks to this configuration, we will get our smartphone to establish a sleep pattern. Then, we will go on to configure the part with which we will avoid possible annoyances. We refer to the section of the reminder notification.

Set the sleep mode on your smartphone

In addition to being able to record our sleep, and being able to change the terminal screen to gray scales, silence notifications and calls automatically during the time we set, this tool offers us an extra. We refer to the function with which One UI will allow us to enable a reminder notice so that our smartphone sounds every time it is time to go to sleep.

Therefore, the steps to configure this feature for Samsung with One UI 3.0 are as follows:

The steps to configure this feature are as follows:

  1. Enter the clock application on your Samsung phone.
  2. Click on the three vertical points.
  3. Go to Set bedtime. And in the following screens click Next.
  4. Set your bedtime and choose when you want to wake up. You will have to select the time and days of the week.
  5. Customize the alarm and snooze sound.
  6. Click on the Done option.

With these steps we would already have the bedtime function configured on our mobile device of the Korean brand. Therefore, by being able to have a sleep record at all times, we will have the possibility to see whether or not we are complying with our rest hours. But, as we said, it is not the only way to activate this function. Also, we can access them by going into Settings> Digital health and parental controls> Bedtime mode > Activate according to program and select the days and hours that we want.
